Our Vision:
To create an
environment where students are transformed through the renewing of their
mind and become a new creation in Christ Jesus. (Romans 12:2 & 2 Cor.5:17)
|
Our Mission:
To equip,
guide and encourage students to grow in spiritual maturity through fun
teachings, fellowship, prayer and service. (Acts 2:42 – 47)
|
Who can Participate:
Students in
grades 6 through 12 are welcome to participate. A staff of volunteers with
a passion for God and an equal passion for kids lead the program.
Students are required to sign an application acknowledging that a certain
standard of behavior is expected and adhered to at all meetings, activities
and events.

|
How the
program works:
Meetings are
held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month in the
Youth Room/Parish Hall from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Middle school (grades 6-8) and
High School (grades 9-12) students meet for snacks, games and worship; and
then are separated for age appropriate activities and relevant life lessons.
Students also
participate in a variety of activities and events, such as retreats,
concerts, pool parties, Diocesan activities, community service and camping
trips. This allows us to strengthen relationships with each other and
others in the Diocese, as well as, grow in our relationship with Jesus
Christ as we spend time with positive Christian role models.

Family Sunday:
The second
Sunday of each month is designated Family Sunday. This gives our students
an opportunity to take an active role in the corporate worship service by
reading the scripture passages, serving as ushers and providing AV support.

Prayer Warriors:
At the
beginning of each school year, the congregation has the opportunity to
commit to praying for one of our students for the entire year. This
provides additional prayer coverage for the spiritual growth of our
students. These dedicated people are called Prayer Warriors and are
encouraged to send notes, birthday cards and small gifts throughout the year
to the students. This keeps the students encouraged and motivated.
At the end of
the school year, we have a Prayer Warriors’ Celebration, where they
are thanked for their support and encouragement for the program. At this
celebration students finally get to meet the person who has been praying for
them. The students then have the opportunity to pray for that person.

Parents Role:
Parents are encouraged to let their students participate fully and
consistently in the programs. They are welcome to attend and participate in
any meeting or event/activity that their teen will allow them to attend.
Parents are kept informed about upcoming events through flyers, emails,
phone calls and monthly calendars.
